It was a good weekend to be a John Boyega fit

The Star Wars actor got loose and free with a trio of wavy outfits
John Boyega had a good weekend for 'fits

“I have a diverse style,” John Boyega told GQ a couple of years back. “I’ve always tried to incorporate a range of colours, patterns and different fits into my wardrobe. I’ve worn everything from Louis Vuitton catwalk looks to traditional Nigerian dress. I’m still trying to work my style out, I’m incredibly curious to see where it can go and how far I can push it.”

Fast-forward to 2023 and Boyega is pushing his style to new places – and what a great place it is to be. He works with his stylist Jason Rembert to conceive looks that do the most. Case in point: the Camberwell-born Star Wars alum, who is currently promoting Netflix miniseries They Cloned Tyrone, was photographed out in New York City this weekend in a trio of wavy fits that spoke to his electric (and eclectic) palette. Boyega is not messing about.

First up Boyega rocked a full tonal brown fit. A chocolatey leather snakeskin jacket from Versace, paired with a pair of straight-leg hazelnut trousers. Square-toed loafers on his feet. Proper en vogue menswear. Following that, he stepped out in a red, yellow and black collegiate-striped polo shirt, which he teamed with a pair of vibrant canary yellow slacks that popped off. Bold! Powerful! A vision! But it didn't end there. Boyega rounded off his NYC outings with a serious military fit comprising camouflaged cargo trousers, a thick khaki knit and a wartime overcoat.

While a lot of guys out there are getting down with quiet luxury – all neutral-toned minimalism and a whispery sort of wealth – John Boyega is leading the charge with a trifecta of big power fits that go in on colour. They're playful. They're bright. He's having the most fun and he looks comfortable doing it – and we're all for it.
